Looking back at our first season

Written by YellowFellows at 08:56 3/9-2013

I know this may seem premature, but we made a rapid promotion straight from 8th division to 4th division, and since the day we got promoted on day 59, we have only secured ourselves 14 additional points in three races. Any result in the latter stages of this season will be regarded as a big bonus.

Cause even though we are struggling to get results now in 4th division, as we realise our team isnt strong enough to compete at this level, this season must be viewed upon as a great great success. And for that reason I wish to make a special mention to our star of the season, Mr. Kasjan Jarosz!

We managed to lure this guy into Korea with the promise of gold and asian-chick lapdances. Luckily this guy is a huge manga-fan, so he wasnt hard to convince. We also managed to make him believe that people get treated, as they do in North Korea, if they dont deliever results. This had an immediate impact. With fear in his eyes he managed to win the first race he participated in, to rack up the 3rd win for the team, the first victory in 8th division!

But it didnt stop there. In nine divison 8 races, he was able to win a hugely impressive six of them, while getting two second places, with much anxiety from the rider. He also did finish tenth in a TT, which proved to the team that we are truly not a TT team. But eigth results in nine races is impeccable. His three participations in 4th divison has been less successful, but still quite decent with rather limited support. He got himself a strong 9th place in the Baltimore Invitation Classic, whilst the other results were 8th and 16th. With fear of being sent to a prison camp, Jarosz has made himself clear that he wont be riding with us for another season.

But back to the topic of us having a remarkable season, we have really proven to ourselves that we can make it to a high level. The making of a Korean cycling team has been an undisputable success and we will definately continue our commitment to Korean cycling. We hope to achieve as good results as this year, enter a tour and perhaps even take it a step further.

  Takk x2!
